MAKING PREDICTIONS (or STATING TRIAL EXPECTATIONS)

If you don’t yet know what a hypothesis-derived prediction is or how to write a good one, then please visit the HOW TO > PREDICTIONS (coming soon) section before continuing.

DIRECTIONS for STUDENTS

1) Select the Experiment Card (or cards) assigned to you by your teacher by using the links below.

2) Print the Experiment Card (or cards).

3) Use the remaining white (empty) space found on the lower half of the printed page to make predictions for each of the experimental trials suggested by the experiment card. These predictions should be aligned with the hypotheses you made in Practice Set 2I. Please use informative headings such as “Prediction: Trial 1” or “Prediction: Trial A.”

4) Be sure to put your Student number and the date in the upper right hand corner of your paper before giving the completed exercise to your teacher. Your work will be evaluated according to a grading rubric that you can view HERE (coming soon).
