Lesson 1 - Monday, Mar 23
Today in science: After reviewing the tasks for this week, B period completed the Chapters 1 & 2 Food For Plants packet quiz, which was cancelled last Thursday due to the scheduling issue causes by the HS Musical preview. B and H periods were asked to make a Day 25 entry in their Life Cycle Project focusing on “fertilization.”
Homework: Work on Chapters 3 & 4 in the Food For Plants packet and study for this week’s quiz on Chapter 3 (to be taken during Lesson 4).
Lesson 2 - Tue, Mar 24 (B) & Wed, Mar 25 (H)
Today in science: B period performed a flower dissection (INV#11) so that they can begin recognizing the structures of flowers. This was an activity scheduled for last Thursday but cancelled due to the long running time of the HS Musical performance.
H period performed a second flower dissection (INV#12), which involved dissecting a common tulip.
Homework: Work on Chapters 3 & 4 in the Food For Plants packet and study for this week’s quiz on Chapter 3 (to be taken during Lesson 4).

Lesson 4 - Thu, Mar 26 (B) & Fri, Mar 27 (C, H)
Today in science: At the start of the lesson student completed the Chapter 3 Food For Plants packet QUIZ.
B period performed a pistil dissection (INV#13), which involved dissecting a pistil students might recognize as store-bought green beans. In the time remaining, students could work on any of their recent investigations, but also Chapters 3 & 4 of their Food For Plants packet, which are due today.
Homework: As per the TASIS MS school homework policy, there is no weekend science homework due on the Monday following the upcoming Spring Vacation.
