The bread, butter, and jelly of every good scientist, notebooks are a scientific way of life
About
When you watch scientists-in-action, you will see that they go to great lengths to maintain (and preserve!) well-structured, high-quality notebooks. They are of vital importance in scientific research.
Although there are many ways to prepare a scientific notebook, Dr. Merritt has some strong preferences regarding the preparation of the notebooks students will use in his science classes.
In order to create a notebook that is useful in science, it helps to learn a number of different techniques such as sketching, drawing, inserting images (e.g., photographs), and making tables and graphs. In this section, Dr. Merritt also introduces some useful preservation techniques, so that students can successfully protect the good work they do in their notebooks.
