Lesson 2 - Tue, Nov 11 (B) & Wed, Nov 12 (H)
Housekeeping: After briefly discussing the main topic of our new unit (“the atmosphere”), we returned to watching yesterday’s video for the purpose of collecting additional notes about the structure(s), function(s), and processes that make up the Earth’s atmosphere. Students can see the notes Dr. M typed during our video pauses in the G7 Notes Portal.

Housekeeping: After adding and updating their scientific definition of “air,” students were asked to…
- Start developing their Initial Model of the Earth’s atmosophere. To do so, students were given an large A3 piece of paper, asked to draw the Earth similar to how we did so in Unit 7.1, and then allowed to use their video notes to begin developing a detailed, hand-drawn model of the atmosphere.
- We will spend the next lesson completing our Initial Models and identifying the consensus ideas.
