Now that you know a little bit about comparative methods, you might be ready to try some of the preparatory exercises listed below. (If, however, you feel you don’t yet know enough about comparative research methods then please visit the About page.) The exercises below are designed to help you build important approaches, abilities, awarenesses, competencies, skills, and sensitivities related to doing comparative scientific work.
EXERCISE 1
Dr. Merritt would like you to read through a short Google Slides presentation he put together that explains why he thinks comparative scientific methods are important. It’s likely that the information on at least one of these slides will be useful to you when writing the introduction section of one of your two required (written) Comparative Reports.
