Lesson 1 - Monday, Apr 13
Today in science: After discussing the accomplishments of NASA’s recent Artemis II mission, students were reminded that Chapter 3 & 4 of the Food For Plants packet were due back at the start of the Spring vacation. Students were then given time to workshop their Chapter 4 answers with a partner and then compare their joint answers to the Chapter 4 answer key provided by Dr. M.
It was also announced that the Chapter 4 Food For Plants quiz will be on Thursday (B period) or Friday (H period).
Homework: Students should be spending their science homework time prepared for Thursday’s (B period) or Friday’s (H period) Chapter 4 Food For Plants quiz.
Lesson 2 - Tue, Apr 14 (B) & Wed, Apr 15 (H)
Today in science: Students were given time to finish workshopping their Chapter 4 answers with a partner and then compare their joint answers to the Chapter 4 answer key provided by Dr. M.
At the end of B & H periods, students briefly heard about two upcoming assignments related to two important processes occurring during the life cycle of flowering plants: pollination and fertilization. More will be said about both of these assignments in Lesson 3.

Lesson 3 - Wed, Apr 15 (B) & Thu, Apr 16 (H)
Today in science: Dr. M was able to fully explain to students the Pollination & Fertilization Sketchnotes project and share a number of Google Science Classroom resources to help students complete it successfully. No due date has yet been set for this project.
Homework: Students should be spending their science homework time prepared for Thursday’s (B period) or Friday’s (H period) Chapter 4 Food For Plants quiz.
Lesson 4 - Thu, Apr 16 (B) & Fri, Apr 17 (H)
Today in science: Students completed the Chapter 4 Food For Plants quiz at the start of the lesson. When finished, they were given class time to continue working on their Pollination & Fertilization Sketchnotes project. As we will discuss on Monday, this project will be due at the end of next week (Week 11).
Homework: As per the TASIS MS school homework policy, there is no science homework due on Monday.
