Klass’s Rules for BOXPLOTS
1. A simple boxplot plots the median and four quartiles of data for an interval level variable. |
2. Boxplots are best used for comparing the distribution of the same variable for two or more groups or two or more time points. |
3. Boxplots are an excellent means of displaying how a single case compares to a large number of other cases. |
