Dr. Merritt aims to expand this page in the coming months, but until that happens students should consider spending a great deal of their free time checking out The Naked Scientists homepage. They playfully describe themselves as,
“…a media-savvy group of physicians and researchers from Cambridge University who use radio, live lectures, and the Internet to strip science down to its bare essentials, and promote it to the general public.”
Their award winning BBC weekly radio program has over 6 million listeners in England, as well a loyal and enthusiastic international following on the web.
The reason why they are listed on the SCIENCEsEDiment’s Kitchen Science page is because they have a wonderful Kitchen Science page of their own. Their site is broken down into topics such as Body, Brain, Chemistry, Nature, Physics, and other topics, each of which are packed full of videos, diagrams, and other viewer-friendly material describing investigations, demonstrations and experiments that you can try performing at home.
